It’s starting to get pretty chilly in the French capital, and that means it’s time to dig up all of the clothes from the cave or hit the stores for some new knits. I’m loving the amount of bright colors I’ve seen around town this season! I can’t wait to spruce up my wardrobe with some bright blues and reds.
Prete-Moi Paris inspired me with her fashion collage post today! Here’s my idea of a fantastic outfit for the Paris fall season.
Have a wonderful week!

This Wednesday is rush, rush, rush, but c’est la vie 🙂 I also have a lot of things that I am excited to share with you, as well as a few projects, but those will hopefully come in the next few weeks.
Here are some mid-week reads and inspiration. Enjoy!
I love Vogue! The ones I read most often are US Vogue, British Vogue and, of course, the French Vogue. They all have features that I love. For the US Vogue, I adore “5 Days, 5 Looks, 1 Girl.” A schoolmate of mine, Kelly Connor, had her series done a while back, and the latest installment of the series features Grace Fuller, a Vogue Fashion Assistant. Their outfits are amazing!
British Vogue does a series called “Today I am wearing” where they follow a celebrity or personality and their daily ensembles for a month. I’m a huge fan of Mira Duma, editor of Buro 24/7, and when I saw that she is the featured personality for June, I got so excited! Here’s the link, so you can see what the incredibly fashionable Duma rocks on a daily basis.
2. Roland Garros
The handsome Englishman and I went to Roland Garros, the French Tennis Open, this past weekend. It was so much fun! Check back later this week for the full blog post about it, but here’s a sneak peek! You can also follow my adventures on Instagram, where I post multiple pictures daily of what I see and what Paris is up to at any given moment.
Paris is offering the city a chance to watch the matches in the center of the city. Here are the details.
3. Rachel Khoo
I just adore Rachel Khoo! Her posts are so cheery, and her recipes are amazing! She inspires me to cook in my little Paris kitchen, which is no small feat. For a bit of daily sunshine, head over to her site.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what exactly I want to do with my life, where I want to go, where I see myself, pretty much all of the questions that you ask yourself at 25. I found my conclusion via Instagram, and I will share it with you.
“Do what you love.” It’s not groundbreaking in any way but simply a reminder. It’s a very romantic thought, and I love it. When you love doing something, suddenly “work” isn’t the I-hate-my-job feel but instead a “let’s do it!” and roll-up-your-sleeves-excitedly type of feeling.
At least that’s what I am feeling now. I lovelovelovelovelovelove-cannotwriteitenoughtimes- LOVE blogging. It makes me so happy to put together a post about an experience I had and to interact with readers and other bloggers. It is creativity, research, effort, and “work” – but it is so much fun. Even when I sit at the computers for hours and write and delete and write and delete, I couldn’t be happier. Here’s to doing what you love!
Have a wonderful rest of your week!

A seriously cool pop-up is now open in the Haut Marais.
Etudes Studio, a male clothing line, has its first pop-up studio in Paris from June 1 – 30, 2013 in the Haut Marais. On display is their Etudes N°2 Spring/Summer collection, with some crazy cool accessories for men.
The store was packed, spilling out onto the sidewalk and areas around it. Gallia Paris beer, an absinthe-infused beer, was the drink of preference for the launch party, as all the hipsters and who’s-who of Paris came out to celebrate the opening on Saturday night. Designed by the Swiss design team, Terrazzo Project, the modern interior of the store was the perfect backdrop for the collection.
Be sure to check it out while it’s in town!

I just love the Royal Couple.
I just watched an interview before they got married, and they seem so happy together. Will looks to be such a sweet guy, and Kate, oh man, don’t even get me started. I would loveee to have coffee with her some day! Kate Middleton is one of my style crushes along with Kate Hudson. It must be said that her pregnancy style is by far the most stunning out of all of the starlets that are expecting little ones. Elegant and classic, as always.
To my favorite royal couple, happy second anniversary! So looking forward to the royal baby in a few months!
I absolutely adore Kate Hudson.
I’ve been a fan of hers since Almost Famous, idolized her after How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days, and now just love seeing what she’s up to. I find her to be one of the most relatable stars, as well as one of the happiest. Her sleek sense of style, along with an eye for color, only enhances her natural beauty. Her absolute best accessory is, of course, her beaming smile. J’adore!
While double-tapping Coachella pics on Instagram, I stumbled upon this absolute gem. Kate Bosworth is officially Weekend 1 Coachella Fashion Goddess. Her outfit is simple, classic, and stunning. Her boots remind me of both Crockett & Jones beautiful Rushton boot, … Continue reading
Femininity and the Fifties
This year’s Ready to Wear Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2013-2014 collection was unexpected. While I adored this past fall’s pieces, what I saw on the models this Fashion Week was not what I was envisaging but still interesting to analyze. All of the models were sporting the same short black wig, only accentuating the sultry look of the collection’s pieces. Lingerie dresses were paired with tweed and boy-cut coats, creating the most chic walk of shame ensembles I have ever seen. As the models filed down the runway, there was a juxtaposition between a traditional notion of femininity and a non-conventional, borderline androgynous sense of it.
Below I included my favorite pieces for next season. The looks I posted pertain to the über feminine side of Marc Jacobs’ creations, which include soft, flattering tops and pencil skirts, as well as a fun halter number that shows a lighter side of the French fashion line.
What I loved about the show was the concept! The “grand hotel” theme was brilliant, with models coming out of different doors to march down the runway. American designer Jacobs added a cheeky final hurrah to the show; he came out of the “hotel room” door wearing his menswear line pajamas, as if he was a hotel guest with the models.
After a fabulous birthday weekend in England, my 25th birthday, a week of hibernation due to sickness, and a cold week in Paris, I am back on the blog and working on posts to share some beautiful places and images with you.
Wishing you a fantastic Friday and an incredible weekend!
Who can resist a perfect Burberry piece?
London Fashion Week has just wrapped up, and browsing through the collections, I was mesmerized by the twists that Burberry has put on their trademark item, the trench. The varieties of color, fabric, and texture really made the collection stand out. I would absolutely love to stop by the Regent Street store and pick up any one of these classic models!
Tomorrow, I’ll be writing about London’s hottest new concept bar. Hint: it’s fast!
