The concept is simple: lobster and burgers.
That’s all they need. The geniuses behind Goodman steakhouses have mastered the art of cooking these dishes. The menu consists of three choices: lobster, a burger, or a lobster roll, all for £20, which includes fries and a side salad. Flown in from Nova Scotia every few days, the lobster is Canadian, and the meat is of equally high caliber, so whichever you pick, you really can’t go wrong.
DM had his lobster finished off on the grill and couldn’t stop raving about it. He had a side of lemon butter, which was divine. My bacon cheeseburger…phenomenal! Juicy, flavorful, with all of the fixings – the perfect burger. We paired our meal with two ales but could have gone with any of their wide variety of drinks and spirits. Next time, I’m trying one of their famous cocktails, which are done by the renowned mixologists Soulshakers.
The original Burger & Lobster in Mayfair is just off busy Piccadilly and is so subtle, you could easily walk past it. Unless you arrive at lunch time, in which case the long line in front of the restaurant will let you know that you’ve arrived. But with four locations now open in Mayfair, Soho, Farringdon, and City, rest assured that you’ll get your fill of their amazing cuisine.
