I love the hustle and bustle of Paris, but sometimes you need a little moment of relaxation.
La Mosquée de Paris is just the place to do that. The mosque has a restaurant and patio, which is a little slice of exotic heaven in Paris, the result of artisanal work from Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. You can enjoy a cup of phenomenal mint tea with a variety of Arabic pâtisseries.
On my most recent visit, Sonia and I shared a lamb couscous; one order was enough for the both of us! The sauce was delicious, and the lamb was juicy. We had a great afternoon there, enjoying the decor and a break from the heat.
One thing I would love to experience is the hammam experience the mosque offers. A full day of saunas, body scrubs, and then mint tea – sounds perfect!
The mosque is a truly beautiful space. You feel like you’ve left Paris and have been transported miles away – but it’s nice to know that the city is just a step outside the door.
